Our plant-based dog kibble is 100% vegetarian, but not considered 100% vegan. To ensure these recipes contain all the nutrients your dog needs, we also need to ensure the inclusion of vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is essential to help your dog grow and maintain strong bones. Unfortunately there is no natural plant-based ingredient delivering vitamin D3 permitted for use in the pet food world. Therefore, we need to rely on ingredient which is derived from sheep’s wool.
